ice cream on a paper plate
in this post we look at how productive my day has been.
i got up about noon, which really isnt bad for this being my only day to sleep in. i got up, didnt even put on pants, and proceeded straight to the world of warcraft.
i got some good loot from upper blackrock, talked to Lucas Kingsley Bertram about him going to the art institute of portland.
made some food around 3, had a beer at 4 and when 7 rolled around i said to my self:
Self, lets get some stuff done.
i signed off, grabbed lappy and when to the living room to hash out an animation i need for my audio class this week. evidently we have to mix some sound for a tv spot and it was suggested that we make a spot in ae about a band we like.
i opened up after effects, fired up a google image search on coldplay and then it dawned on me… i hadnt finished seven samurai from the day before.
old movies are long, way freaking long. lawrence of arabia is almost 4 hours, dr zhivago felt like 7. kirosaua’s seven samurai (an excellent film i might ad) is measly 3 and a half.
so i turned it on and started working again, but had to stop because you cant read subtitles and work at the same time.
so after seven samurai is over i look down and hit up the render que to see what i had
and i had nada
when all else fails there is always ice cream, and in this case its strawberry ice cream on a paper plate.
which is a great metaphor for my day today…. and pretty much yesterday too.

i decided that i didn’t like how my page looked so i went with something completely different.
not all the kinks are worked out yet, but its coming together. i hope you like the new digs and let me know if you have any problems with it.
in other news this gives me the opportunity to have larger videos and photos, so those are on the way.
