The way things fall

MuteMath - Odds

It’s been a busy week. I’ve been churning out cut after cut at work and giving my evenings away to a couple different projects.
At Praxis we have these groups called Missional Communities, most would refer to them as small groups, but anymore that term has a pretty lame connotation.
This is a promo video I edited for my church that helps to educated our congregation about the groups and hopefully will get some more people involved.

Praxis Church Missional Community Promo from Praxis Church on Vimeo.

Following this link will take you to the videos mentioned in the promo. There is a great explanation about the groups and then a few interviews about what being a part of them has done for some people.
My church runs over a 1,000 people on a Sunday divided into two missions and three services. An optimistic estimate would be to say that a fifth of those people are in a MC, so there is a lot of room for improvement.

The situation I wrote about in my last post is still on my mind all too often. I had a big paragraph written out about it and then decided that it’s exactly the sort of thing that didn’t need to be written… so I un-wrote it.
It’s about 95 degrees here, which means it’s “fall”. It also means that I’m not confined to an air conditioned box all day.
I’m going for a walk, take it easy.
