for great justice

greetings from the great TEMM-PEEE
yes, i’ve finally figured out how to say it, and its not tempe it most definitely long and separated

i just got off work and since i dont have class in the morning i am obligated to stay up waay too late :D
work is just fine, i finally feel like i am getting my head around what i will be doing on mondays and tuesdays
i am basically a second master control operator and spend my time looking over logs and recording programing, but there is just soo much to it
being put into a completely new automation has been a challenge, but my resume now proudly states i know both of the industry standard systems
which is cool if it wernt at the expense of my mental health

i spend about an hour tonight looking through myspace, its become a bit of a habbit to do so every few months
i’ll see someone on facebook and get curious about what they are doing, myspace usually gives a better impression of that then facebook
but once you check up on someone you find yourself just searching for everyone from your city or highschool or whatever

and then an hour has gone by… oh well im staying up tonight anyway

i hinted at a new project earlier and its really starting to give me some trouble, but most little projects i start i dont finish because i lose interest, and i really just want to finish something
so im going to make a half life 2 machinima film
nothing long or too ambitious, i’d be satisfied with a 3 or 4 minute short

but im going to finish something :D

so here is screen shot so people who dont know what half life 2 is, this is the map i am editing and what might be the two main characters
the whole process is just a big unknown for me

as you can see the game’s engine is gorgeous, it takes a bit of post to make it look that smooth, but its a very pretty game
i’ll be taking this map, and others, and useing them with the game’s builtin text to speech animator to make a little movie

another week, another weekend

first off, happy birthday jana :D

my first week of work went well, and best of all i got a pay check today
it wasnt a full check, but it certainly helped out the $8 that was in my checking account
its official though, i was able to survive on my savings until i got a job

i get to getup a bit early tomorrow, but work shouldnt be a big deal, my boss said that he has heard nothing but good things from the people training me, so thats exciting

we went bowling tonight, it was great to get out of the house. i am so hit or miss with things like bowling. i scored a 112 the first game and a 65 the second.
it was fun to hang out with the guys for a bit and bowling alley atmosphere is always entertaining

i did a poster for my final project in my photoshop class, its up on the work drive. i like the way it turned out, although the class was pretty much just a waste of my time.
my next core class is on after effects, which is nice because im not too great with the program

in other news i bought a 6 pack of newcastle today and it was the worst, most stale, skunky thing i have ever had.
i am going back tomorrow to give them an earful :D

it got a bit sketchy there for a second

i miss my friends
yea, yea i miss my family and coworkers too, but atm i really miss a few good friends

its when you are walking out of work at 11:00pm on a saturday night, and your new coworker asks what your doing tonight
that you stand there dumb struck, with your cell phone a lead weight in your pocket, and you realize

I have no where to go, and no one to go with.

so i drive home to a dark apartment, one roommate talking to his girlfriend the other enthralled with his computer.
i grab a pilsner urquell and sit down and think for a second

there is nothing wrong with my roommates, im lucky to have ended up with these two really
but i cant wander down 10th street after a good concert with justin
i cant sit and talk for hours in an empty apartment with antonio
and if early tomorrow morning there was a soccer match on the tv i dont know if they would wake up early and watch it with me

though talking about it with myself makes things better
:)

the free time does help me to finish little projects i’ve been working on
i added a new feature to np.com the other day and tackled the task of revamping the guild policies

i’ve also started on something very challenging, maybe i’ll have something to share in a week or so

im off to bed, i have to be back at work at 6am
